This new pop art style design started first as a new oil pastel drawing in a rough style.
After digitalising, we applied some filters to create a ‘starburst effect’.
The text was added last.
The locomotive is the London and North Eastern Railway, Class P3 0-6-0 n°790, built in 1906 (and that’s what it says in the text caption, only the smartphone cases are textless, as we figured they would be too small to read).
You’ll find more information e.g. on Wikipedia by searching for ‘NER Class P3’ and also ‘0-6-0’.
