Product Details

Our luxuriously soft beach towels are made from brushed microfiber with a 100% cotton back for extra absorption.   The top of the towel has the image printed on it, and the back is white cotton.   Our beach towels are available in two different sizes: beach towel (32" x 64") and beach sheet (37" x 74").

Don't let the fancy name confuse you... a beach sheet is just a large beach towel.

Artist's Description

From a vintage 1900s watercolour/watercolor postcard, retouched and restored, by Albert Henry Fullwood.
Albert Henry Fullwood (15 March 1863 1 October 1930) was the Australian official war artist to the 5th Division in the First World War.
Fullwood was born in Erdington, Birmingham, son of Frederick John Fullwood, jeweller, and his wife Emma, ne Barr. From 1878, Fullwood studied art at evening classes at the Birmingham Institute. After graduation, he migrated to Sydney in 1881 and obtained work at John Sands Limited as a lithographic draughtsman and designer. He joined the Art Society of New South Wales in 1884, and shortly afterwards obtained a position on the staff of the Picturesque Atlas of Australia, for which he traveled a good deal in the north and did many drawings. He later worked on The Sydney Mail and other illustrated papers of the time. He kept up his painting, and in 1892 two of his water-colours were purchased for the national gallery at Sydney.

About Heidi De Leeuw

Heidi De Leeuw

Hello, my first name is Heidi. My family name is De Leeuw, which is Dutch for The Lion. I was born in the mid 1960s. From the early 1980s on I worked in sales and administration. Sometimes people ask me why I spend so much time in taking a worn and torn image and restoring it to its original beauty, I answer them with another question: why are old paintings and classic cars being restored? Because, make no mistake, restoration is an art and a craft. No fancy magic software, but pixel by pixel cleaning and...
