Description
New artwork, inspired by a century old French art cover magazine.
Cocorico was a French magazine first published in 1898. It was produced by the artist Paul-Émile Boutigny and featured many artists of the Art Nouveau movement including Alphonse Mucha and Théophile Steinlen. The magazine had 63 issues.
"Cocorico!" ("cock-a-doodle-doo!") is also the French onomatopoeia for the rooster crow ("chant du coq" in French) and as such is a French victory roar, the rooster being one French emblem.
